Terrorist Attack in London

While our initial plans of the blog and podcast is to keep things light, there are just some events that we can't go without mentioning. It is with solemn and heavy hearts that we have learned of an attack on London soil in which three people have been pronounced dead, and at least twenty injured. Apparently, the attacker sped over the River Thames aiming to take out pedestrians in it's path. They then drove their car into the House of Parliaments walls in an attempt to breach England's primary location of government.

As Americans we are all too well aware of terrorist attacks, large or small, domestic or foreign, nonetheless they ache all the same. Whenever a life is lost, or even affected rather, we step back and say how nonsensical this act is. Unfortunately, it should not take events to provoke such feelings. Now, I am not here to preach on how we can make the world a better place if we all hold hands, because there are just SICK AND TWISTED people out there with even worse causes. I was reading an article published by CNN's Angela Dewan, which can be found below:

In the article, Dewan provides a quote from Mark Rowley, Britain's Most Senior Counter-Terrorism officer, in which he states, "This is a day that we had planned for -- that we all hoped would never happen -- but sadly it is now a reality". But what stood out to me was the, is now a reality portion. What do we do to make these living nightmares dissipate from reality? That I do not have the answer to. But what I can say that there is a chance that if you can make a difference in someones day positively I think we should all have the sense of duty to do so.

I have yet to hear of the attackers name, but do not plan on publishing it or writing about him/her anyways, because they do not deserve that type of recognition. To those affected by today's events, we truly express our deepest condolences, and pray that this NEVER happens again. Today, we are with London, always, we are on the side of peace.
